With two strands of green on a 6.5mm hook, chain 14. Make several chains of 14 and start filling up the stem base with various chains and shades of green. I just used light green and dark. I made a few shorter stems to fill in some blank spots at the top.

Flower #1 -make 3

Round 1: Work 6 sc into ring – 6 sts. Do not join, continue in a spiral.

Round 2: (2 sc) in each st —12 sts

Round 3: *(2 hdc) in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 dc in the next sc, sc in next sc* repeat from *—* around— 18 sts

Finish off and weave ends.

With one strand of red on a 5mm hook make a chain of 6. Finish off weave ends. Repeat three more times so you have a total of 4 chains of 6.

Take a long piece of black yarn and a tapestry needle and stitch in a black spot slightly off center on the pink flower. Then take the four chains and hot glue them into place. Use the picture as a guide

Leaf- Make 3 large and 3 small

Sl st in the second chain from the hook, sl st in next chain, sc in the next two chains, hdc in the next two chains, dc in the next chain, 3 dc in the last chain. Now you will be working up the other side of the chain. Dc in the next stitch, hdc in the next two stitches, sc in the next two stitches, sl st in the last two stitches. Finish off and weave ends. With light green on a 5mm hook make a chain of 8. Finish off and weave ends. Glue the light green chain to the center of the leaf. (17 sts)

Small:

With two strands of light green on a 6.5mm hook, chain 7

Sl st in the second chain from the hook, sc in the next two chains, hdc in the next two chains, dc in the next chain, 3 dc in the last chain. Now you will be working up the other side of the chain. Dc in the next stitch, hdc in the next two stitches, sc in the next two stitches. Finish off and weave ends. With light green on a 5mm hook make a chain of 6. Finish off and weave ends. Glue the light green chain to the center of the leaf. (15 sts)

Yellow flower: make 7 petals

With two strands of light pink on a 6.5mm hook, chain 5

Sc in the second chain from the hook, sc in the next three chains, 3 sc in the last chain, now you will be working up the other side of the chain. Sc in the next 4 stitches. Finish off and weave ends. (11 sts)

Take three of the petals and glue them together to make a yellow flower. I used the 7th petal just to fill space in the center of the appliqué when glueing all the pieces together.

Purple flower: make around 8 pieces

With purple and a 5mm hook, make 6 sc into a magic loop and pull tight to close.

Blue flower: make around 3 pieces

With blue and a 5mm hook, make 7 hdc into a magic loop and pull tight.

Assembly:

To assemble, glue all the pieces to a piece of felt then cut the appliqué out of the pieces. Now you can place the entire piece on a bag, jacket or use it as decor.
